SKYHILL: Escape From the Skyscraper!

ABOUT SKYHILL: ESCAPE FROM THE SKYSCRAPER!

Skyhill: Escape from the Skyscraper! is a survival roguelike set inside a luxury hotel ruined by a biological attack. You control Perry, a businessman trapped in the penthouse while toxic mist spreads across the city and mutated residents roam the building.

With food running low, Perry must leave his shelter and descend from the 100th floor to the exit. Reaching the ground requires careful exploration, resource management, crafting, and turn-based combat.

DESCEND THROUGH A CHANGING HOTEL

The hotel is divided into floors containing stairways and searchable rooms. Each location may hide food, medicine, crafting materials, weapons, or an enemy.

Moving and exploring consume energy, so searching every room is not always the best decision. The randomized layout also changes between attempts, forcing you to adapt instead of following a fixed route.

Search Rooms for Supplies

Useful objects can appear in containers and abandoned rooms. Food keeps Perry moving, medicine restores health, and materials can be turned into better equipment.

Before entering another room, compare its possible reward with Perry’s remaining energy. An unnecessary detour can leave him hungry before reaching the lower floors.

Survive Turn-Based Battles

Mutant encounters use turn-based combat. You can select a weapon and choose where to strike.

Body attacks are generally more reliable, while head attacks offer greater potential at a higher risk of missing. Consider Perry’s health and weapon strength before choosing an aggressive move. Even a victory can be costly if he takes too much damage.

BALANCE SURVIVAL AND PROGRESS

Protect Hunger and Health

Every movement reduces Perry’s energy. Allowing his hunger or health to reach a critical level can quickly end the run.

Use supplies when necessary, but avoid consuming everything immediately. A difficult enemy or long stretch of empty rooms may appear later.

Craft Better Equipment

Collected materials can be combined into weapons, food, medicine, and other useful items. Crafting stronger gear improves Perry’s chances against tougher mutants found deeper in the building.

The penthouse serves as a base where facilities can be improved. Returning there can help with preparation, but the journey also costs energy, so each trip should have a clear purpose.
